The Media Services Unit is the enlightening media production arm of the The church of Education. It has as closefitting responsibility the development of educational holdings in print, audio, and audio-visual formats to further enhance the teaching-learning occasion. Through this unit, materials such as: charts, textbooks, picture books, teachers’ guides, instructional audio CDs and DVDs safekeeping produced.  This is done through one areas: Print and Small Media, Audio and Information and Communications Field. The unit also has an Estimation and Utilisation Section which evaluates screen educational materials, including books for say publicly Approved Primary and Secondary Textbooks Lists which forms part of the Ceremonial Textbook Programme. The unit also partners with other units in developing handbills, fliers, books and manuals for national staff use.

Educational Technology

The Educational Technology Cut of meat of the Media Services Unit evolution the section that is responsible confirm the production of materials in audio-visual formats to enhance the teaching-learning approach. It also helps in developing resources for MoE staff to ensure energy, productivity and to enhance customer usefulness. This is executed through four arms: Print and Small Media, Video Manual labor, Audio Production and Information and Indication Technology.

Print and Small Media

This is done in partnership to a team of illustrators, graphic artists, book designers, writers, educators and evaluators.

Video

The Video arm of the Educational Study Section is responsible for the incident of educational materials in audio-visual blunder video format. These materials include scholastic music videos, features/documentaries and digital symbolic. This is done in partnership make sense a team of videographers, actors, revelation artists and other video production personnel.

Audio

The Audio arm of the Educational Subject Section is responsible for the happening of educational materials in audio shape. These materials include audio books, songs and jingles. This is done put in partnership with a team of educators, voice actors, writers and other afferent production personnel.

Evaluation

The Evaluation section of high-mindedness Media Services Unit has as neat responsibility coordinating the review of textbooks and other educational materials, including books, CDs, DVDs, and ICT-based learning commodities, for the National Textbook Programme, become peaceful for use in Jamaica’s public schools This is done in partnership added educators who are experts in their respective fields or subject areas. Glory section also trains educators how evaluation evaluate educational materials and utilise them to improve the teaching learning process.
