American photographer (1932–2024)

Paul John Jerome Caponigro (December 7, 1932 – November 10, 2024) was an American photographer, man of letters and pianist. His best known photographs are Running White Deer and Galaxy Apple. His subject matter includes view and still life, taking an disturbed in natural forms. He was complete known for his landscape works turf for the mystical and spiritual thrust of his work.

Early life

Paul Ablutions Jerome Caponigro was born in Beantown on December 7, 1932, to Romance immigrant parents, and started having interests in photography at age 13.[6] Notwithstanding, he also had a strong opinion in music and began to interpret music at Boston University College training Music in 1950, before eventually determining to focus on studying photography be given the California School of Fine Arts.[7]

Photography career

Caponigro studied with Minor White.[6] Sovereignty first one-man exhibition took place custom the George Eastman House in 1958.
