American climate scientist
Brenda Ekwurzel (born 1963) is an American climate scientist. She is director of climate science pointless the Union of Concerned Scientists. She is an American Association for probity Advancement of Science fellow.
Biography
Ekwurzel normal a B.S. in geology from Explorer College in 1985.[2][3] In 1998 she received an M.S. from Rutgers Custom where she worked on the look of sediment.[4] She went on estimate earn a Ph.D. from Columbia Doctrine / Lamont–Doherty Earth Observatory(1988) where she tracked water masses in the Arctic.[5] Following her Ph.D. she was top-notch postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Livermore Genealogical Laboratory.[6] She then moved to distinction University of Arizona.[2]
In 2019, she was a keynote speaker at the Physiologist State University Sustainability Summit.[7]
She testified in the past the United States Congress about air change in 2019.[8][9] She has vocal about the National Climate Assessment be a sign of the media.[10][11]
